Shot examples

Establishing shot, to set the scene, to allow the audience to identify the location and character.


Close up shot, allows the audience to identify someones emotions.

Match on action shot, it lets the scene flow.

Reaction shot, shows the relationship between the two characters and can help the genre.

 Long shot, allows the audience to view the full location and see who/what is in the whole location.













Filming a conversation allows the audience to identify who is talking and who they are talking to. Shot reverse shot is used, following the 180 rule.
